 Mainly we discussed about the situation of medical workers and hospitals in Japan.
Since people diagnosed as or infected with COVID-19 are needed to be isolated and be quarantined to the hospitals, most medical care facilities are in short of beds. There are not enough protective gowns, masks and face shields, raising risks of infection for medical workers and making treatment of COVID-19 patients more difficult. Since we have more priorities to COVID-19 patients than to other more serious patients, hospitals tend to reject patients who need emergency medical cares.

 Explained the situation of Corona Virus.
Most businesses including Pachinko parlors, game centers and internet cafe in metropolis will be asked to close, but izakaya(Japanese style pubs) will operate until 8:00pm. Even though Osaka issue emergency declaration and ask some businesses to lose like Tokyo, it unlikely to give subsidies to firms which follow its request. Nurseries and after-school child care centers will be kept open regardless of whether the request is made.

 Mainly talked about the declaration of the state of emergency by the President Abe.
All the public transportations will run as usual, people working in non essential business will be required to work from home. Some facilities such as public schools and sports gyms will be closed until golden week.

We also disccussed about Haneda Airport.
New flight paths for aircraft approaching Haneda Airport formally take effect this weekend, with up to 44 planes per hour being given clearance to fly over some of Tokyo busiest neighborhoods Shinjuku, Shibuya and Shinagawa over a period of three hours in the afternoon on days in which the wind is blowing from the south. There are mainly two concerns. One of them is relating to the noise and pollution issues, the other one relating to approaching the runway at 3.45 degrees which is very steep.

 We talked about the death of famous Japanese comedian, ken Shimura.
He was infected to the Corona virus.
Also, talked about cherry blossoms.
This year, the revenue from the cherry blossom viewing will definitely decrease because number of tourists from China will fall due to the restriction from entering to Japan. Even though tourists are modest, we can still enjoy cherry blossoms at the Ueno Parks and Meguro River.

 We talked about the Corona Virus.
Depending on the number of cases of the virus, some schools will start and events are allowed to be held next April if there are not many cases of the Corona Virus. The mayor of Tokyo is thinking of shutting down the city --everyone is restricted from entering or leaving. The Tokyo Olympic will be probably postponed to the next year.
Only certain hospitals accept patients with Corona Virus. There's a real problem because these hospitals are packed and over flowing. If Japanese test positive then they have to go to hospital.

I had headache and sore throat, felt the cold and got the chills.
When I went to the hospital, the doctor decided to cancel one of the medicines prescribed after finding that I have a possibility of glaucoma due to its side effects.

Also, we talked about the Okinawa garden.
The landscape shape and form in this garden was influenced by Chinese religion.
The way the Japanese enjoy gardens is very different from the Chinese.
Usually it is by contemplation.
Nature effects the emotions by revitalizing people.
It is sometimes called forest bathing.

 We mainly talked about my trip to Portland this May.
Due to Corona Virus, we might have to cancel it.
We are negotiating with my travel agent over the charges to cancel my trip.
Also we talked about the article of the 1970 Osaka Expo. It infused the great deal of vitality to Japanese economy.

 We talked about the trip to Okayama, Japanese truck stops and about the situation of Corona Virus in Japan.
Prime Minister Abe announced that we should not use public transportation and postpone the events with a group until the end of this month. I shared my photos of truck stops and the 23rd anniversary of my grandfather's death.

 We talked about Corona Virus again. Prime Minister Abe declared to close all the public schools until the end this month. He is trying his best to calm down the spread of Corona Virus. Sounds like all the cities and towns are shut down. Most events with a group and concerts are canceled. Tourists visa to India will be nullified and will be restricted from entering to India. Due to the Corona Virus, the congestion of the train is getting much better.

Also we discussed about the article of the sneaker boom. In Japan, there is the second boom of sneaker. Since people tend to purchase things on line, counterfeit sneakers are sometimes on line. Fake busters genuine verdict whether sneakers are genuine and help customers feel comfortable their sneakers are not fake.

 In this class I introduced current problems regarding Corvid 19 related health matters.
The virus itself is genetically identified already. If the appropriate measures were taken ASAP, we can avoid serious conditions. I do hope the situation will soon get better.
