 Today, I chose the article "Women and economics", that is difficult for me to read. Although economists like logical thinking, in their field, the number of female economists is very few without proper evaluation.
In some fields, more and more women are becoming active, on the other hand, in others, the number of women experts is still small. That might be loss of talents.

 This was the first lesson this year. First of all, we talked about traffic accidents in this holiday season. The police often uses a breathalizer to detect alcohol and fines violators. We should pay attention not to involved car accidents caused by drunken divers. Maybe, not walking at late night, using public transportations or something. Then, as the current trend, some companies have evaluated English communication skills and TOEIC has not been used as the standard of workers' communication ability because the test has no speaking and writing sections. We need more skills for communication or making a speech in the globalizing society. Thank you very much, Terry for interesting and inspiring lesson.
