Hello everyone!

My name is Satoko, and I’m truly excited to meet you here on Eigox.

I was born and raised in Japan, but I’ve spent meaningful parts of my life abroad—

a couple of years in the U.S. during elementary school,

a year in Canada where I studied at UBC, and two years in the UK,

where I taught phonics and reading to primary school children.

These experiences helped me understand how people of different ages and backgrounds learn languages, and how important it is to feel safe, supported, and encouraged.

Before becoming a tutor, I worked for 14 years in international business,

handling global communication, negotiation, and project management.

Because of this background, I’m very comfortable teaching business English,

professional communication, and practical expressions used in real workplaces.

I also hold a Master’s degree in Social Psychology, and a mom of two boys.

These unique experiences allow me to create lessons that are warm, motivating, and tailored to each learner’s personality and goals.

Whether you’re a shy beginner, a busy professional, or a young learner taking your first steps in English,

I’m here to support you with care, patience, and passion.

My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and open-minded.

We can follow a structured lesson, enjoy relaxed conversation, practice pronunciation, or prepare for exams like IELTS—whatever helps you grow with confidence.

みなさん、こんにちは。Satoko です。

海外生活、大学院での研究、企業での国際業務、そして子どもたちへの英語指導など、さまざまな場面で英語を使ってきました。

私のレッスンでは、ただ英語力をつけるだけでなく、英語を学ぶことを通して、自力で前に進む力、自己肯定感・自己効力感を育てるアプローチをしていきたいと考えています。

まず楽しんで、伝わった喜びを味わい、自信がついてまたチャレンジしたくなる。

そんなポジティブなサイクルを一緒に作りたいと考えています。

初心者の方には、安心して話せるようにゆっくり丁寧にサポートしますし、

すでに基礎がある方には、希望のペースに合わせてどんどん進めていきます。
