A good cook should be able to cook better with right tools. I found a copper frying pan had better conductivity and was the best for cooking. A team of researchers from University of Maryland made a wooden knife that is 23 times harder than wood and almost three times sharper than steel. Even though I feel a covid surge is almost over during the Golden Week, my sister told me there were a lot of vacant at her flight. I heard there might be another surge at New York. Also we talked about a tour boat which missed on seabed off Hokkaido. 26 people were on the boat, 14 people were found dead, 12 people are still missing. What a tragedy for the passengers. They didn't have time to instruct him on home care before he left. He wanted to have one more day at the hospital. Since better blood circulation might cause nose bleed, he should take a shower instead of a bath. During the winter we take baths to warm up. However in the summer we take showers intead. Also, we talked about shoes I completed for my husband today. He was thinking about where to wear it. We also talked about my parents' signature stamps. They don't treat their signature stamps very well and are easily broken. When opening bank accounts or any important documentation, one needs a stamp. Those signature stamps should be kept in a case. I had to start all over from scratch. Also, we talked about my husband's surgery on the 23rd of April. He had to remove nasal polyps. Luckily, my husband was with me so he could take care of me. I felt much better today. Also, we continued to talk about the relationship between Russia and Ukraine. According to an article, Putin just wants to show a strong world leadership. He has a fear that he will look weak. The capital of Ukraine was the cultural center of the Soviet Union. There were three different ethnicities which are Ukrainian, Russian and Bellorussian. Putin wants to put them again and creat a strong union like Soviet Union. We also talked about the effect of the war Russia and Ukraine. Sanctions against Russia are to freeze bank accounts and stop a trade with Russian companies. China is trying to help Russia, but has to be careful because it is going to hurt itself. In the United States, the price of gas almost doubled and having meals at restaurants is getting more expensive. In Japan, we tend to get similar effects. Gas and things at a supermarket are getting more expensive. At some restaurants, ingredients are getting more expensive so they need to raise the price of their products. At AMAZON, I see some products are hard to import and I have cancel an order. We also talked about an emergency list.
