Lela is very polite, calm and also punctual. Her beautiful North American English over the stable internet connection is comfortable and easy to listen to even for the intermediate learners like me. We started by introducing ourselves, and then talked about some major social problems around here in Japan. Although this is our first lesson, I enjoyed it very much. Anyway, see you next time! |

Today we talked about today's subway accident in Kyoto and teachers' role or activities in Japanese universities. I explained an accident that I encountered today. Because of the power interruption, subway stopped. After a while, once it started to go, but then a train which went before us faced a trouble and couldn't go. We waited for its repair for more than 30 mins, but at last we had to go back to the last station and to change into other transportation. As for teacher's role, I told her four roles like research, education, administration and regional contribution. I enjoyed our chatting very much. Thank you, Jing. See you. Take care. |

I finally understood how I should put the tip of my tongue to pronounce L and R sounds. It's not easy especially for R but I can practice logically at least. Thank you so much to help and encourage me all the time. |

When I was elementary school, there are about 50 people in class. I can remembered all people’s face and name with ease. But now I'm an adult, I can hardly remember the names of counterpart. Customer, alliance, or even colleague who once worked together. My colleague once advised to me that if I remember by their nickname, I’ll never forget. I found it is true. Do you remember what nicknames did your friends give to you? I don’t know whether you like it or not, it helps your colleague to remember yourself. |

Today I asked Richard to check and correct my English e-mail. He shared his screen with me and checked and corrected my writings with confirming what I wanted to say. It was really helpful for me. After that, I also asked to edit some sentences that I wrote for memorizing unfamiliar English phrases. Dictionary often gave us just a phrase, but I'd like to memorize a new word or phrase in a whole sentence since I'd like to remember with a preposition and a verb/object. He quickly checked and corrected them and gave me some good advice. Thank you, Richard. See you. |
