初レッスン。喋り倒されましたが、アメリカのエリート候補生と話す機会はそうはないので、なかなか面白かったです。日本語はまだしゃべれないようですが、話の流れで日本のアニメのセリフの真似をして「死ね!」と言ってたのが、とても発音良かった。外国語を学ぶと、耳や舌が開放されて敏感になるという証左かもしれません。Angelo, people say Google translate has been improved much, especially for translation from Japanese to English. Test it by yourself!

Vlada, rumor says he is not happy with the spokesperson so I am afraid Melissa McCarthy might have to develop a new character not long before. Being a comedian is such a tough job! Well, every job has its own difficulty, I guess. Talk to you soon, enjoy your weekend.

First I asked Richard to check my e-mail and consulted him about how to express what I want to say. Then I asked him to check and correct my English translation and talked about it. He pointed out some of my mistakes and suggested some more natural expressions. It's really helpful. Thank you, Richard. See you.

First I consulted her about Japanese-English translation of a material which I'm preparing for my research interview. After that, we resumed our "Sherlock" lesson from where we left last time. I learned meanings and usages of "See you very soon", "Now we're getting somewhere", "I'd be lost without", etc. Thank you, Kyoko. See you.

Since this was our first lesson this year, we did some catch up talk, such as sharing our new year's resolutions and how we spent our new year's holidays. Then we moved on to Lesson 36. I practiced how to express farewell in the business situation and learned some new words and expressions, which all seemed quite useful for both business and daily conversations. I'm so happy that I saw you, Daisy. See you next time!

Thank you for a pleasant lesson. My homework for next lesson is "Why church is empty, are people looking for god within themselves?" I'd like to think about it sociologically. See you soon!
