It was nice talking to you again, Mark. It was our first lesson in 8 months or so. Mark introduced me his new companion, a five-month old cat! She is incredibly cute! Dilhara prepared an article for the lesson and I read it out loud. Then summarized each sentence using different expression. It was difficult to express short sentence in another way. But he showed me examples, so gradually I understood better. It was difficult lesson but I feel I will improve by doing this, so I want to keep on trying. Thank you for the lesson and see you soon! |

Kathryn, I now remember that I have been to Barcelona once, probably in 1999. My aim was to see Sagrada Família, but I did not know at that time that Barcelona is a part of Catalunya which has different culture and language from those in the rest of Spain. It is a mystery to me why European people suddenly started to see more value to be disconnected from other areas (Brexit, Scotland, Kurdistan and this), but I just wish it could be achieved without bloodshed. |

It was our first lesson. I had requested him beforehand that I wanted to practice answering questions he'd give me, and he picked up questions related to my city. First he told me about his city and I tried to answer his questions following his talk. But I couldn't answer them properly because I didn't know much about my city! I was so embarrassed! I think Dilhara is a calm and conscientious teacher. |

“Rakugo” is kind of storytelling. Most of the story are the funny. When I was young, I enjoyed the radio program of “Rakugo” in every Sunday night. It lasts 10-20 minutes, storyteller have to talk alone. When I was 9 years old, I played short rakugo program in the party of my class. The classmates very enjoyed it, so I prepare more longer program. It lasts 20 minutes. It was hard to memories whole story, but somehow I did. It was in my class rooms but other class people gathered and listened my play. When my rakugo was over, I was applaud by all people. I already forget the stories, but I still like listen the rakugo program before I sleep. |
