I could have a pleasant and productive time with teacher Richard. Today's topic was criminology. At first I had no clue for criminology. During talking about crime-associated issues, I could understand the significance of criminology. I look forward to having a talk again. Thanks a lot. |

Thank you Kathryn, Sakai nowadays is not beautiful in fact. It was an industrial city, and it's still the same. But even so, it has a long history, and there remain many traces. Anyway, England! I keep my fingers crossed! |

In our lesson, I practiced a phrase "talk someone out of" and made some sentences with it. Rose and I also talked about which season we like the most. I recommended her to visit Japan in April so that she could see cherry blossoms around that time. Nice talking with you, Rose. See you in the next lesson. |

Thank you for a wonderful lesson, John sensei! About the difference between appointment and reservation, I’m clear now. I seem have been always confused how to use these words. So I have an appointment with my chiropractor after work this evening or I need to make a reservation for dinner with my friend when going back to Sendai next week. I’m sorry that you had a tragedy with a naughty dog in your house on weekend but actually that was a funny story. Next will be Lesson23, “How to encourage someone”. See you then! |

It's our first lesson. We talked about lots of things and it turned out that we have the same interests. One of which is yoga. Mono-san and me both have been practicing yoga for many years. We both agreed that yoga worked not only on our body but also on our mind (and spirit!). In the latter half of the lesson we read two short articles. Nice meeting you Mono-san. I really enjoyed our lesson and look forward to seeing you again soon! |

My kids learned about "it" for singular nouns, and "they" for plural nouns. Chris kindly taught them about this rule over and over. My boys understand in their mind that we use "they" for pants, socks, shoes, etc, but when they have to say quickly, they tend to say "it" for those words. It seems they need some more practice so that they get used to it. Thank you, Chris. See you soon! |
