Hi Mayumi (^^) I ate raisin bread today. I felt it to be more delicious ^ - ^ In the time for yesterday's lesson, I knew peperoncino being Aglio e olio peperoncino for the first time ^o^ Then, I worked on Eiken. It came that Kara and Gina were very close. As an important word came out a lot, I review it well (*^_^*) As it is a story of the mayor in the time for next lesson, I look forward to it. I want to get along while arranging it in a head as I work on Grammar book p(^_^)q I will cook a blueberry mousse and a cookie tomorrow. Hi Mayumi-san, nice to see you again:) Thank you so much for always your wonderful lessons. You always make my day! We talked about parenting. I agree with what you say that the most important thing is that you show you love your children and you show you care for them. Generally speaking, children need parents who can provide love and support as well as discipline, which requires parents understand their child's feelings. However, according to a 2012 American study, we aren't as good at understanding our children as we might think. Parenting can be wonderful, but there's no question that it can be stressful as well. Love is crucial in families, but it sometimes helps to turn down your feelings a notch. Research suggests that parents who feel the deepest empathy for their children may not be the best at nurturing them. In other words, appropriate emotional boundaries are important for parents and for children. Not overreacting to your child's distress, but helping them to manage their emotions, is a more supportive, effective approach. Children benefit from a parent who can not only sympathize, but also model a calmer mood for them. I strongly believe that you are a wonderful parent. I have missed you. Hi Mayumi-san, nice to see you agaon:) Thank you so much for always your wonderful lessons. Your great lessons are always motivate and inspire me. First, we talked about a YouTuber talking about 10 surprising things in the U.S. Above all, many English learners including me are not good at undestanding the measurements such as the yard-pound system, Fahrenheit and so on. I am also not good at reading number because digit separators are different in Japan and the U.S. And so, now, I am reading the book, Practical Manual: Quantitative Expressions in English. I want to be good at quantitative expressions. Then we talked about your personal story. When I heard your wonderful personal story, I thought you're really wonderful. You have positive attitude, consideration for others, gratitude to others and things like that. Your way of life is wonderful, I think. I have so much respect for you. You are my inspiration. It was a very interesting topic about life and I enjoyed it veru much as well. You always make my day. I can't wait to see you. Hi Mayumi-san, nice to see you again:) Thank you so much for always your great lessons. You're always awsome. You're the one for me and I'll never let you go. We first talked about my daughter's house getting ready. As her familiy's new house was completed just before, they moved to the house from my house a few days ago. It was really fun to live with them, especially with my grandchildren, for about two months. Even though I miss them, it's really nice and happy that they live close. We then talked about my speech script. The theme assigned was to make a speech about leadership. Thanks to your advice to my speech script, my speech was successful, but unfortunately I was not able to get the award of best speaker. I think that I need to practice a lot more how to deliver my speech well in order to attract more and more the audience. I would like to take your lesson about how to make a good speech when I have the next speech opportunity. I think that it is really difficult to make a speech or a presentation in front of a large audience. Thank you so much for the great time. You make me so happy every day of my life. I think about you every day. I want to be with you a bit longer. See you soon^^ I'll miss you very much again as well. |

Hi Mayumi-san, good to see you again:) Thank you so much for always your wonderful lessons. You made my day this time again. We talked about leadership and the different types of bosses. You are very lucky that you don't have to deal any types boss situations. I'm so jealous of that. To put it simply, if a boss don't like to work with me, he can change another person except me, but even if I don't like to work under him, I can't change my boss easily. I have no chice but to endure the situation. But as I have retired my working life, it is happy not to worry about personality or leadership style of my boss.(haha) We also talked about the differences in working environment and human relationships. The psychological background of the Japanese dislike for brainstorming has to be the desire to preserve the wa. In business, Japanese want to preserve the wa so much that they do not insist on differing opinions strongly in front of the people they are talking to. Japanese people unconsciously feel that saying something strongly to another person may hurt the person's feelings, so when they comfront someone in those situations, they soften their tone and go into enkyoku mode to imply their message. It seems to be difficult for foreigners to understand the Japanese communication style. I'm really happy to see you again and you are always on my mind. I'm looking forward to next lesson.
