I talked about the standing Buddhist statue in Bamiyan. Currently restoration and researches are going on. I thought we should learn various problems from different perspectives.

I introduced Dr. Tetsu NAKAMURA who is hardly working for people in Afghanistan. Not only medical doctor he is skilled engineer. Recently he was awarded by Japan civil engineering association. Congratulations!

I talked about the result of Eiken examination. What I learned is that the hurdle is high for me to surmount due to heavy weight.

I talked about Fare Trade which works to enhance people in developing countries by purchasing their items.

In this class, I introduced TANAKA Shozo who struggled to protect natural environment and farmers in Ashio copper mine during the Meiji period. We shared the time to acknowledge the importance of natural environment and people.

I talked about history of copper in Japan.

We learned about Minamata convention,the international treaty to protect human health from the mercury poisoning,which went into effect on August 2017.

I introduced Ishimure Michiko and Eugene Smith who contributed for awareness of the Minamata disease.
