The sun raised illuminating Africa giant grasslands. Grazing animals are starting to spread out looking for fresh grass. For one predator, it is the perfect moment to strike. The Cheetah. The lone male has a narrow window of time in wich make a kill. It must be light enough into hunt but not too hot to him to run. Whereas most of african cats are nocturnal. Cheetahs are perfect for hunting during the day. Black mark around their eyes reduce the sun glare, helping to spot the prey up to 3 miles away. He needs something small enough to tackle in his own but big enough to make worth his wild. Time to flesh out a potential target. To maximize his chances, he needs to keep 60 meters of his prey without been spotted. His cover`s (shrub, bush) blown. Cheetahs have top speed 70 miles per hours but only for about 20 seconds. He missed his chance. With the day hitting up he now has to wait until evening before its cool enough to hunt again. |

We talked about the article reporting the bad situation about child poverty in U.K. I was surprised to know the fact. And I learned one of the biggest reasons for it is the austerity policy by the government due to Brexit. The result of the referendum might have been a big failure. U.K. government has to pay huge amount of money to do Brexit and the weak people are suffering pain from the deal. Anyway, Mark always inspires me and trained me how to read hiden meanings in articles. Thank you, Mark. See you next lesson soon. |

I enjoyed the lesson very much as usual. We talked about many things. One of them was BBC documentary program "life below zero".It shows various people who want to be not bound by companies, nor society. They are very independent. Many people would be attracted by such living with nature. Mark is so intelligent, good teacher. |

Thank you so much for your class. It was great topic to talk. I've heard that some words in the article were very academic words like journalists use, so i think it's good for me to reconsider them as easier words. We've talked about educational differences between in England and Japan. I've known that there aren't any public university in UK, so the costs would be exorbitant. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. See you. |

We talked about the article "Worsening child poverty harms learning." I was surprised to know that even in England, where it seems working well, child poverty is getting serious, although also in Japan, we are facing on the same situation. Mark explainedn my unfamiliar words and expressions understandably as always. We'll continue to talke about this issue at next lesson soon. See you, Mark. |

Mark is always calm and cheerful during lessons. Today he and I talked about merits of being bilingual, some British words, like trainers (shoes), ironmonger (hardware dealer), etc. I enjoyed talking with you as usual. See you. |

I felt like a detective or a cop when Mark said " I am ready to be grilled". Thus, that made me feel at ease and we started off the lesson. Mark told me he is swamped with classes of Eigox hence stranded in his home sweet home a couple of days. Mark, thank you for today`s lesson. I had a ball. you rock. Have a nice week. |
