Today I made a small speech in response to Mark's question "Is it always good to prolong the life of the dying?". It was a difficult question, but I managed to deliver it. Mark evulated my speech and suggested some advices for improvements. He also gave me specific terms used in this field. They are all helpful and useful. As we have discussed in the lesson, I seem to have some serious tense problems even in using everyday verbs when talking about unfamiliar subjects for me. I'll try not to make such mistakes during our conversation, but please don't hesitate to point it out when I do so. Anyway, sorry for being interrupted by a phone call.

I learned the phrase of “in anticipation of”. It was my first time to use it, and I learned it was usually used in the bussiness situation. “Expecting” seems to be more famous and I usually use it, but I realized I need to get more knowledge about phrases as well as grammar.

Some Japanese words have multiple meanings. For example, “Ame” means rain and drops. “Hashi” means bridge and chopstick. I didn’t know the English words which has multiple meanings. Yesterday my son said there are some words in English. He pointed some words, for example, trip means to go somewhere and fail or turn. He taught me there are many English words multiple meanings. Now I know there are long way to go.
