Travel in Japan must be comfortable. Trains are strictly keep the schedule. The roads reach everywhere like a mesh, even though countryside where few cars are use per day.
You will can easily trip all around the Japan as you planed except but middle of August. On every highway, 50km over traffic Jams occur in this season. Us Japanese believes the soul of our ancestor returns their home in this season. We have to return our homeland and welcome them. We keeps the lights of lantern all though the night so that they can easily find their home, and prepare the cushion dedicated for them. At the night, we always had held a Bon-odori (dance party) for consolidate them in my youth. (It’s decreasing) In 15th Aug, we enjoy fireworks for the final night with them. After that, we believe the soul returns their world, so do us.
