In this lesson we chatted about the World Cup at the begining and continued reading an article entitled 'Coming home after 130 years'. There were some new words and expressions so Mark described me in detail when I don't get the meaning.
Thank you for the lesson and see you soon!

We practiced IELTS speaking, with an online material. We talked a lot about my area, cafes, and a famous person who faced failure before they succeded. Even though I had difficulty making myself understood in English, she kindly caught the meaning and expressed them in other ways. Thanks, have a good day!

Today, Mark chose me the interesting article about a new idea to save marine life from pollution by plastic straws. Unexpectedly, there are so many people who are concerned about the environmental contamination. They choose more expensive straws made by paper, pasta and bamboos which are degraded in the sea, thhan cheaper plastic straws which hurt marine life. That's a noble action.
Today, I memorized these sentences.

"Public pressure is growing on MacDonald's to take steps in the U.S. similar to those it has taken in Britain."

"Even companies not legally bound by the ban can no longer ignore people's concern about throwaway plastic."

Hi John sensei, I appreciate your passionate lesson last night but I seemed not being working well. The topic of the lesson 20"how to claim" might have been not good. It just brought me back a bit uncomfortable things in the past. But now I'm okay. Next we will review the previous lessons we had. It must be a challenging for me. See you tomorrow!

It was a pleasure talking with you, John. I’m still unconfident in my English ability, but I got encouraged by your words. It will become a springboard to motivate me.
I feel like I can take one step forward following your help. Nice meeting you.
