 We had a free-talk class today, and it was exciting.
I always prepare a specific topic in advance, but I couldn't afford it this time. So I couldn't expect how our conversation would go, and I was thrilled because it was like an everyday conversation in the real world. Also, I thought it was a great opportunity to measure my progress in English skills. I can't really say I did a flawless performance in the class, but Dave's warmth and friendliness helped me to continue speaking without the fear of making mistakes. I also found that he was trying to use simple English structures so that I could easily understand.

 私の拙い英語も理解してくださり、とても優しい先生でした。私のリスニング力の問題もあり、ネイティブの先生に比べると多少聞き取りにくいと感じる場面はありましたが、それも様々な英語に慣れる良い練習だと思います。ただ欲を言えばもう少し積極的に文法や言い方などを直していただけたらさらにレベルアップが望めると感じました。
