Hello Teacher John, today’s lesson “how to demand or request”. It was a bit difficult for me but I think I’m clearer now the difference between “demand” and “request”. You explained them exactly. Also today’s new phrases, “quite the drinker” and “bury myself in”. The picture that a woman is buried in a lot of paperwork helped me image exactly. Hi Nix! Thank you very much for giving me a great luncheon lesson as always. Today, we talked about cancer. It is lethal disease for us. At present, there are several effective anti-cancer drugs, but the efficacy is not enough to cure cancer. The most of current anti-cancer drugs prolong survival period, but don't extinguish cancer completely. I hope we can get 'real' anti-cancer drug in the future. My kids learned about clothes. For example, "is" for a blouse, a skirt, and so on, and "are" for pants, shorts, and etc.. They told me that they understood when to use "is" and when to use "are" though it's still hard for them to choose right verb forms quickly. The more they practice answering those questions, the more they will get used to it. |

But I didn't know what these words meant in Japanese. After the lesson I looked up the dictionary.It was written that "lip reading" meant "Dokushin" in Japanese. But I've never heard of it.
