Today's article was about Hitler's suicide. It wasn't easy to understand as it contained some historical events and geopolitical circumstances. Mark is knowledgeable about world history and he kindly answered all my questions and explained the underlying meaning. I really appreciate it and see you next time! |

I booked two lessons in a row. This time, our topic was about books. I introduced a book I recently read titled China-Japan Rapprochement and the United States: In the Wake of Nixon's Visit to Beijing. This book blew my mind because it depicted the 1972 Sino-Japanese negotiations in normalizing the bilateral relations after then U.S. President Nixon visited China over Japan's head. I was bowled over by historical figures such as Kakuei Tanaka, Masayoshi Ohira, Mao Zedong, and Zhou Enlai as well as Nixon. |

Our topic was none other than communication. When we talked about advice, I addressed my mentor's two pieces of instruction; I followed in my mentor's footsteps and researched in the U.S., which cost an arm and leg, but eventually, I found my feet. I appreciate your enjoyable lesson! |

Today, I asked Sarah about what other students who are around my English levels do in lessons in order to use the advice as a reference to my English journey here at Eigox. And then, from there, it stemmed out into animal-reference expressions. We covered several animal-related idioms and discussed the similarity of idioms and images of animals between the Japanese language and English. I found it so funny that we ended up talking about guns. Thank you for bringing out the best in me, Sarah. You're always a delight to talk with. Talk to you soon. |

Han先生は、いつもいろいろな質問をしてくださいます。「ゴールデンウィークと呼ぶのはどうして?」と聞かれ、しどろもどろで説明しました。もっとわかりやすく説明できたらよかったなぁ。うまく説明できなくても、熱心に辛抱強く聞いてくださいます。賛同の言葉かけとか褒め言葉とか、巧みに使ってくれるので励みになります。また次回が楽しみです。 |

Our first topic was "how the pandemic has changed your lifestyle?" ( ....oh, it's heavy.... ) But we both seem to be very positive in any situation. Then we talked about school festival, music collab, and so on. James always gives me wonderful information.... |
