I think this type of lesson is good to know how to start conversation and also to improve the listening skills as well because I always miss many words in the dialog even though I can understand them when I see the writing.
I really need more practice to know the way native speakers usually speak.

We talked about mathematics and number. Though you said number was kind of mathematics, my opinion was different. I think number is just kind of symbols, and mathematics is one of subjects. Number is symbols to calculate and quantify something. I think number is a tool to resolve mathematics.

 Hello Teacher John, today’s lesson “how to demand or request”. It was a bit difficult for me but I think I’m clearer now the difference between “demand” and “request”. You explained them exactly. Also today’s new phrases, “quite the drinker” and “bury myself in”. The picture that a woman is buried in a lot of paperwork helped me image exactly.
I hope you enjoyed taking your dog for a walk tonight. Im going to sleep soon. I’m really tired now. Maybe I think it’s because of the starting that meeting with my friend for some drink in the first half of this week. So it felt longer than other every weeks.

 Hi Nix! Thank you very much for giving me a great luncheon lesson as always.
Today, we talked about cancer. It is lethal disease for us. At present, there are several effective anti-cancer drugs, but the efficacy is not enough to cure cancer. The most of current anti-cancer drugs prolong survival period, but don't extinguish cancer completely. I hope we can get 'real' anti-cancer drug in the future.
