We had another great lesson. He always chooses an interesting topic for our discussion, which makes me think a lot about things I usually don't think...

Differences of accent points between verbs and nouns having same meanings such as contrIbute and contriBution is difficult for me. Max let me fully understand it. And as always, he gave me a lot of helpful corrections for my summarizing practice. Thank you, Max!

In this session I learned several useful expressions by studying with Lesson 12 of Desperate Housewives. Those expressions were usually informal and bit impolite but really effective and convenient to communicate with someone. Those included catch on, not have a clue, break up with, dump someone, keep me going, where to do it, small talk, and be vocal. I always appreciate your brief, but clear and kind explanation. Thanks Max!

I could realize that some of my pronunciation sounds strange for native speakers. I would like to keep in mind and try to improve it, as I have a vocabulary list now.

It's very interesting talking with my teacher,Mark also today. I always think that our internet connection is very well every time. but he is so far from Japan. he lives in Mexico. I feel like his house is just next to my house. so it's strange that I asked about that. and he told me that he used very fast computer and very fast cable internet connection. that makes sense! so his talking is so clearly every time! I'm glad that I take his class in great internet condition:)

I've been sick and I was absent yesterday because of stomach flu, so I thought you would say 'Do you want to do a review or do you prefer free conversation?'.BUT reality is NO. I was very surprised and almost fainted when I heard you saying 'I opened HW 25 & 26'. In addition, you forced me to say 'I'll do a review.'!!What a tough teacher!!Anyway, I'm really glad that I could talk to you and finish a review!! If I can have tacos chinos, I immediately let you know:)

In today's summarizint lesson,I learned the new expressions; administrative office, It's so fast to spread., aggravating, mosquito repellant, how long it will last,,,etc. I feel summarizing practices improve skills for instantly speaking what I want to say. I really appreciate your quick corrections, suggestions and helpful questions, Max. Those are working well.

Today Max told me about Mexican cultures or the places he visited. I enjoyed to listen to his stories. Max, I'm sorry if I made you feel bad. I was just very tired and sleepy. I'll recharge my battery now and hope to see you in good condition on Wednesday!
