This is the second lesson in a row.

We talked about many social issues of the world such as environmental problems, ineffective systme of donations organization, rotten politics and bureaucracy,,,etc. It was a good chance to organize my ideas and Terry gave me his inspiring and informative opinions. I really enjoyed them and learned a lot.

Today we continued to read the CNN article about American politics and climate change. It says Amrican potilics has become dysfunctional because it has been discracted by money. With the media transitioning from papers to TV, and TV to social media, winning elecrion needs more money and once they are elected, they have to do their favors. And thanks to the Terry's input, I also learned that what Democrat's lost in the election meant to Ameican people and why they have been so emotional about it. Terry helped me understand how people in the U.S. view the mainstream news media. Today's lesson was very fun and informative. Thank you Terry!

I had a great lesson with Terry. He is a friendly teacher, which makes me feel relaxed. I'd like to take his lesson again. Thank you!

Today we read a CNN news transcript. The news was about American politics and I chose it because I really wanted to understand the Zakaria's idea as well as the American politics in general. With Terry's explanation, I was able to understand what's the anchor was talking about. Also I learned terms related to the U.S politics such as red/blue states, battle ground, pro-life, and evangelical. Thank you Terry! You helped me a lot! I can't wait our next lesson!

We read an article about the google's self-driving project. It was an interesting and informative article and I enjoyed the conversation we had about pros and cons about technological advancement. The article includes good expressions like "clean-sheet approach", "out on the road", etc. I also learned what "Big Brother" and "Sicilon Valley/Detroit" imply. Terry is very intelligent, well-educated teacher and he is well familiar with American culture and society, so I can learn a lot of things from his lesson and it's fun! Thank you Terry!

Today we read an interview article from Bloomberg. It discusses what's going on in the White House and how President Trump is different from other presidents and how his style works. It was really an interesting article and I could understand better thanks to Terry's explanation. ALso I learned a lot of new words and expressions including curate, titanium man, metrics, turning on a dime,and cut to the chase. The lesson was awesome! Thank you Terry! Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for your compliment on my grammar skills. I often get nervous about speaking English,because I'm not used to having a conversation in English.And I can't make a quick response,although I can understand what you say.It makes me feel frustrated. But learning something new gives me a lot of pleasure. I hope I won't get too nervous
