We talked about sleeping of mordern people and the influence caused by time of sleeping. Compared to the old days, we have work pressure more and more, which shorten our sleeping time and deteriorates the quality. Today, I read an interesting article about workplace conflicts that Mark chose. He explained about some words and phrases I'm not familiar. "on board""less on board" meaning agreeing some opinions or not. "tricks of the trade"=professional knowledge or expertise, "like chalk and cheese"=being definitely different from each other, "feather one's nest","identify""scheme",,,etc. His instructions and explanations are kindly understandable and easy to memorize. Thank you very much for your enthusiastic lesson as always. See you next lesson! |

It was a good lesson as usual. He reviewd my short speech, then asked me a question related to aging society. It was embarrassing that I had only very shallow answer. His answer was deep which impressed me. He is very knowledgeable! What I need is reading to be able to have a persuasive opinion. Thankyou for your advice,Mark! |

Today, Mark showed me an interesting article, "World's children rapidly turning obese" In some countries, the number of obese children has been increasing because of an intake of sugary and fattening food, putting them at a risk of health problems in the future such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and certain type of cancers. To crack down on the carolie-dense adn nutrient-poor food, so far 20 countries have introduced a tax on sugary drinks. In Japan, the rate of obese children is low, but some young women are underweight and need more nutritious food. It's important for children to care about taking well-balanced food and do enough exercise for their future. Thanks a lot, Mark for fruitful lesson and see you next time. |
