We talked about the article "Mass wildlife loss caused by human consumption". I learned how seriously we have continuted to hurt the environment of the earth by the data. In the last section, I had some questions to understand the meaning though, Mark explained to me the meaning with using understandable exapmles, that is even if the number of minor species declined, the whole number of creatures would never be influenced becuse the number of minor speacies is small. How much individual speacies are growing and shrinking. Thank you Mark, see you next lesson. |

Yesterday I had the dentist pulled my bad tooth out in the dental hospital. So we talked about removing teeth. It is very common for people to remove their wisdom teeth that was growing unnormally. Anyway I enjoyed talking with him as usual. |

I had a beneficial lesson as usual. I learned good words and phrase. Let me make sentences using new words.Even though I feel lethargic, I still can enjoy studing English. If I would live in an English-speaking country I'd definitely immerse myself in the culture. Thank you, Mark! See you soon! |

This time we had free conversation. We talked about our daily life. What Mark-sensei told me about the place where he lives was interesting, as I noticed some differences from my living place. |

Today, we talked about consumption tax hike next year in Japan. In my opinion, I disagree with it because while the government is showing positive economical data, most ordinary people don't feel better economy and in this situation, the increase of tax would cause to reduce consumption.Furthermore, after the last time of consumption tax increase, the government didn't show the result of how the added tax money was spend. Was it used for our social welfare or security? Nobody explained about how consumption tax was used. The government shoud be held accountable for the use. For these reasons, I oppose the plan of consumption tax increase next year. The government shoud reduce purchase of many arms from U.S. and allocate it to our social welfare. Mark always gives me questions about hot issues and it's a good training for me to make a small speech. Thank you, Mark, see you next time. |

We talked about the article 'Rugby World Cup: Cover up your tattoos in Japan, players told". It's an interesting article showing the different thoughts about tattoes between Japan and other countries. Mark always provides me colorful articles to broaden my horizon. Thank you for your exciting lesson as always. See you next lesson. |

In today's lesson, I asked Mark to have me answer his question. His question was about the tax rate in Japan from October. He understood what I wanted to say but my English was not good. He taught me more appropriate and sophisticated way of saying. It was a helpful and beneficial lesson, as usual. I'd like to try this type of lesson with Mark again. Thank you, Mark! See you! |

In this lesson we started reading a new article entitled 'Why Uganda is the 'world's fittest country''. I learned new words such as treacherous, errands, chuckles, sedentary, vigorous and rigorous. And also a new expression ' the numbers have failed to add up'. I've never thought that more active country is poorer than less active countries. However, as I read this article I understood the reason. It was interesting to know about the lives of many different kinds of people around the world and what is normal in my country is not the same in other countries. Thank you for the interesting article and I'm looking forward to read the rest of it. See you soon! |

Thank you for today's lesson. It gave me a chance to think about "custom" by discussing this topic. It is fun to learn new things relating to British culture from a British teacher. |

外国人の先生でしたが、問題なくおそらくどのレベルの生徒さんも受講できると思います。生徒さんは全員日本人だということでジャパニーズアクセントや言い回しにも慣れていらっしゃって楽しい25分でした。 Thanks!! |
