Thank you Mark!. Your explanation for the video and UK's insurance system is interesting and I think I could understand the outline of the video. I am looking forward to next lesson. |

This was our first lesson. She gave me a material for daily conversation practice. Topic was "in the airport". It was interesting to talk about and exercise because I had just experienced it a month ago. I enjoyed your lesson very much. Thank you, Faith. See you. |

Today, when teacher Frouliane said “lima stands for L , alpha stands for A…” then I replied ”Oh, It is Phillips code!” but it was incorrect. It is Phonetic code. People usually use it when they exchange oral communication by radio or telephone. When condition isn’t good, they often use it to avoid misleading. Phillips code is similar to that, but it is usually used in the telegraph. It is brevity code, so that they can communicate fewer words than usual. For example, “73” means “Best regards”, “88” means “Love and kisses”. These codes were born in earliest era of telecommunication. Time passes, new technology changes them to relic of the past. But some of that is still alive in our daily conversation. SOS (I need your help!) is kind of brevity code for international radio telegraph. |

It was nice talking to you, Ken. Today we talked about climate change and related issues. It was good I could organize my opinions about the Paris treaty and nuclear disaster in Japan |
