I learnt Japanese demography using online material. She has already known graying society is proceeding in Japan and derived my opinion well. We talked about the distribution and age ratio of Japanese population.
As I found the difference of the population pyramid between Japan and Philippines, I will talk to her about the remarkable difference and feature in next class. The online materials she gives me are always suitable for my English level.

Ashley is very talkative and specially attentive, on top of that she is quite a cute(^-^). I had a few mistakes in some sentences and pronuciation,she corrected me right away, it really benefited me,made me realized how difficult is to make sentences naturally,speaking naturally. We began with talking about hot and humid weather today and climate of foreign countries where she lived. Then we resumed our lesson with "Sherlock" on BBC. I often faced lines that I can not understand, and Mayumi kindly explained the meanings based on the context and sometimes gave me some Japanese translation. In ancient era, Tokyo was a wetland. So many small mountains and wet valleys were there. We know the central Tokyo was carpeted by millions of reeds. Before 16th century, not so many people were lived in this area, but things has changed in the beginning of 17th century, Ieyasu Tokugawa came into Tokyo and built his fortress. After he defeats his rival, former general Toyotomi, Tokyo has been growing as a de-facto capitol. Instead of reeds, the Tokyo has covered with buildings in the recent. We rarely or never imagine there were mountains or valleys in Tokyo. But there are some footprints of ancient era of the Tokyo remains in the town’s name.
