Last weekend, I did mixed training. First, I swam 1.5km in 25m swimming pool, then pedaled the stationary bike at 90min (equivalent to 50km ride). Last of the menu was the 10km running. This is the same length of the Olympic distance triathlon. When I was young, I often participated the triathlon competitions. The longest one is swim 2.5km, bike 100km, run 25km. Compare with the marathon or the bicycle race, the triathlon is fun. Along the race course, people serve the watermelon or ice water to the athletes. Some children extend the hose to the roadside, and spray the water for the athletes. These are all prohibited in marathon or bicycle race, but not in the triathlon. The founder of triathlon may thought that it will fantastic when the spectators and players more closely. This is why I love the triathlon. |
