Today was our 1st class. I asked her about natural expressions. When I asked her about that, she taught me in detail of that expressions. I'd like to know such expressions, so her class was really interesting to me.

We talked about American woman wakes up with British accent. Before the day, she said in Australia or Irish. However, after the day, she speaks in British. I think the happen is not rare, and Japanese has a person who has the same happening. The lesson was so interesting, see you next time.

Today, we talked about the article "No alcohol safe to drink", whose main point is that drinking a small amount of alcohol might be good to protect against heart diseases, but might be possible to cause other diseases. We sometime are annoyed with such mixed message.
There are a lot of different information and we have to carefully choose the best one. "Unit" show the strength of alcohol, originated from the U.K. It's very convenient index to know how we intake the exact amount of alcoholic substance not how amount of drink we had.

I'm sorry for my late reply.
We talked about why many Japanese are not good at expressing our opinions in public. I think that we should make new curricurums to teach and train discussion or speech skills to students. Today, my boys reviewed how to read times and learned some prepositions. They will still need some more practice to get used to times with "a quarter" and "half", which is confusing even for me. It was nice listening to my older son trying to answer questions and telling Chris what he thinks in English. It seems he is getting confident with his English little by little. I'm very glad to see his attitude that he tries to express himself with his own words.
