 Japan`s convenience stores sales log record drop amid pandemic. Customers visits plunged amid stay-at-home requests to tackle the spread of the novel coronavirus, logging the sharpest decline. Foreign residents stranded abroad by Japan`s coronavirus controls. The restrictions have left many foreign nationals in limbo. Whereas those who remain here fear that leaving the country would jeopardize their future as well. A second wave of coronavirus infections is sure to hit Japan even though the country has managed to prevent an explosive spread of COVID-19. The fight against this virus is truly a long-term battle, and it`s only the end of the first round, to use a boxing bout metaphor.
