For the first time of the 4th lesson, today I requested to use a text Lesson 85( of 100 power topics) The material was good, and she was very nice and courteous and gave me very good feedback. When using the text book, I had to imagine the scene and say what I wanted to say. But I could not say everything I wanted to say. I think I need to practice with imagining every case to build up my skill. I will keep studying to be a good English speaker. Thanks Natalie. |

We went over my website. We talked about hail storm I had at Ichikawa City in Chiba Prefecture. This is my first experience in 45 years. The weather in Japan tends to be vey erratic. We also talked about foreign nationals living in Japan. The governmet expanded a list of people allowed in under "special exceptional circumstances". Extended family and partners can now visit Japan. At last, we talked about the energy crisis this summer due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. I feel how much Japan is relying on foreign countries in terms of natural resources. Japan should do something about it. |

Wonderful class! We read the Fox News article together. It was quite difficult for me, but I always wanted to study Fox News articles, because Japanese media don't get sources from Fox News. Mark kindly taught me some difficult words and underlying political issues. Although we might have different stances in politics, today's realistic lesson was undoubtedly productive to me. I met Charmaine-sensei for the first time as a substitute teacher. I’m very interested in that she used to work as a cruise ship crew. She recommended me to visit Great Barrie Leaf in Australia in order to do scuba diving. It’s one of my dreams. Also we shared our opinions about the education. I totally agreed with her. |
