We started reading new article entitled "The real-life objects that inspired Harry Potter" which Mark picked up for me. He always picks up articles with topics which I'm interested in, so I enjoy reading them. This time, the article was challenging for me but he explained very clearly so I could understand it. I learned many useful new words and phrases. Thank you for the lesson and I'm looking forward to the next lesson. See you soon! |

Today I asked Gez to give me some information about plastic bag ban laws in the Philippines, if any. She searched for them and found a bill about plastic bag ban, but it might be still on the process of discussion in the Congress. She also showed me some pages that list or map many municipalities which have ordinances to ban plastic bags. It was very interesting and I enjoyed discussing them with her. Thank you for your very informative article and discussion, Gez! See you. |

Kathryn, there is a saying in Japan that the heaven is high, and horses put on weight: Autumn. Meaning everyone is happy with good weather and great food from fresh harvest, before facing inevitable consequences on a health scale. I am one of them, I have to admit! |

Today, we talked about environmental problems such as "Air Emissions and Air Quality". That is a really interesting view to think about environment. Also I din't know there are 3 categories about pollusion that includes biological, physical and chemical factors. It was difficult for me, but I was so inspired the new field. Thank you very much, Gabriel for the exciting lecture. |

I'm sorry for my late response. The topic was 'Should we remove the borders between countries and allow people to live wherever they choose?' That's also an interesting questions as always. "maintain control of their country""negative impact on the economy""conflict between the local people and the new arrivals""naturally suspicious of outsiders""earn trust""waste pollution" I should memorize these expressions firmly. And the web vocablary list is really helpful to get key words and phrases. Thank you, Mark for usual great lessons. |

Today's topic is 'Should we remove the borders between countries and allow people to live wherever they choose?' It's a controversial topic. After I made a speech about it, Mark gave me better expressions and other ideas. "take advantage and illegally harvest human organs""relegious beliefs""Opt-in and Opt-out",,,etc. Thank you very much, Mark for the exciting question and ideas. I'll keep review the past lessons to improve my skills. |

When did I buy a cooking book last? YouTube is very useful in the kitchen. I learnt to fillet fish from YouTube. If I want to go fishing, it's very important to cook fish, to get a permission of my wife. Thank you for another pleasant lesson! |
