In Tokyo, continuing the rain finally break the record in August. It may affects not only firm crops but our daily life. When I went shopping last weekend, I found the price of eggplants and tomato was raised 20%. The "Agebitashi" of eggplant is one of my favorite. Deep fried and eggplant and soaked into the flavorful dashi soup with grated daikon is one of the symbol of the early fall I think. I have to make the “Teru-teru-boze” (the doll to which Japanese pray for the sunshine) if the rain continues more.

Before moving on our today's text, we talked about some questions regarding to usages of "favour". After that, we had a lesson about L15 of 100PT lower-intermediate. I also asked about the difference of usage between "Sure things" and "I'm sure". Thank you for your lesson, Deth. See you.

This time I asked Erin to correct my English writings. I wrote them with English - Japanese dictionaries, but still I couldn't know whether they were natural or not. Since Erin understand Japanese, I added Japanese sentences which told I'd like to express, in order to let her know what I want to say. It was really useful and less stressful lesson. Thank you, Erin. See you.

I've returned a defective item to a supermarket many years ago. The store replaced it with a new one. The manufacturer apologized to me for a letter. Max, I'll enjoy my morning walk from now on. See you soon!

Today is my son’s birthday. My wife baked the cake, and daughter arranged with fruits which my son is favor. I cooked the roast beef. Then we do the birthday party in the evening. His grandpa and grandma participate by the skype, and cerebrated his anniversary. My daughter gave his favorite snack, each of them were decorated by her with many kind of ribbon. My wife gave him a tin robot. And I gave him a chair for his desk. He always spent his time at his room after dinner, but today, he stayed living room. My wife and me told him when he was bone. We enjoyed his birthday party.

Today, we talked about Job advertisement. I learned that in the States, when you write a resume, you have to write down 2 or 3 references on it. That is interesting and I learned some words and phrases as well. (vigil, probational period...). I really enjoyed this class as usual. See you next time.
