 You may know hieroglyph, character used in a system of pictorial writing. No one use it in Egypt or other area but Japan. Many of Japanese kanji, which is based on the Chinese character, is the hieroglyph of the something concern with their meanings. For example, the kanji character of “Yama(mountain)”,”Kawa(river)”,”Haha(mother)” are the hieroglyph. You can easily remember these kanji if you know the meanings of these hieroglyphs are meant. In Japan, knowledge of Kanji is lesser especially in younger people. They say it is hard to remember. Partly I agree it, but I think it is easy to remember if they know the meaning of the hieroglyphs. It is similler to Kao-moji.(^_^)
