I explained her about first name and last name in Japan. She was surprised that we don’t have middle name. And then she asked me Japanese religion. But I couldn’t explain that to her well. Thank you for your lesson. See you next lesson. |

Thank you for your Saturday night lesson, you dealing with a movie which is set in 60's Hollywood, actors whose performances brought synergy to a movie, veterans whom I saw saluting one car driver to another on the street in America and a Japanese business man who was once an infamous real estate speculator in Hawaii in that he made his properties became derelict. |

Thanks so much James for the fun and enjoyable lesson! (And sorry for the late reply. I often respond to lesson reviews late...) I realised that you have quite an intriguing background - teaching in many different place, living in India, being half French and so on. I'm curious to know about your life experiences. I would like to learn a lot about British history and culture, and also about India so I can use the information when I have a chance to visit those places. I look forward to discussing Brexit and other issues with you in the future. I also look forward to talking about films including Parasite, Star Wars (if you like), Japanese anime and others. But let's not do all of these things too strictly. We can sidetrack a little or play it by ear and change course, depending on the situation. I'm also interested in knowing about British jokes. I notice many British speakers begin their speeches with humorous jokes. Thank you again for the great conversation, and I look forward to talking together soon. See you then. |

I was happy to see that the first half of the test (grammar, composition, reading comprehension, pronunciation, and conversation) was higher than it was four months ago. The level is still low, but I'm very happy because it started from 0. This is the first time that English has been a fun language. After all, thanks to the teacher. |

How energetic and lovely she is!! When talking over things that we've been through in life, she gave me the best tips for how to approach some difficult situations involving cultural differences in a positive way. I felt a lot of positive energy from her during the lesson, which encourages me to embrace everything that happens in life. Thank you, Maria!! |

I suddenly booked her lesson because I could not take the lesson with another teacher. She was glad to teach English to me even though it was the sudden booking. She gave me some good advice and understood the topic well. And I enjoyed the time to discuss " cashless payment" with her. I thought I would like to take her lesson sometime in the future. |
