Thanks for the amazing lesson. Actually we was planning to talk about tennis today. But while we were talking about various things, the flow of the story had changed and it became other stories. Moreover it became a debate rather that a talk. It was fun. You wrote down a lot of words we talked while we were debating. It was very helpful and that was a very practical lesson. I look forward to talking to you. |

Every year in this season, freezing cold temperature, I see students wearing uniforms, especially girls wearing skirts. How dire cold it must be. Is it causing discomfort to students? Is there any advantage using uniforms? I believe that uniforms eliminate the time to think about what wear to school. Meanwhile, undermine students individualities and creativities. Other advantage is that uniforms save family expenses by reducing children`s clothing. In addition, school uniforms can be worn on special occasions such as funerals or wedding. Which one is better uniforms or own clothes ? Well in the world there are lot of unreasonableness, so it can`t be helped we can`t please everybody. |

I`ve lived in an apartment for many years, right below lives a man, he always slams the door brutally two or three times. It is a damn noisy. I guess he has a mental problem/ We are afraid to complain about it because he can be violent. I notice some people talking to themselves. Why there are many people having mental illnesses? I think that there are several causes of mental illnesses, traumatic experiences such as natural disasters, divorces, death of one`s beloved family members or friends bring on mental suffering or emotional disorders, also failures in job hunting trigger depression or people who are isolated from society are affected as well. Tremendous competition, working environment or inordinate overtimes, excessive working, bulling in the schools. Why these happen? I am sick of it. |

There was a fire in a public building in the city, victims were trying to flee the fire in the middle of the heavy smoke. The police probed into the cause of the fire and found out the motive of the fire, smoking, cigarette littering. Government should ban smoking in public places protecting nonsmoker from harmful side stream smoke. In addition, it would decrease environmental and fire hazards caused by cigarettes littering and smoke. I see car drivers throwing cigarettes from theirs cars. That`s disgusting. They piss me off. There must be a fine, impose a fine in smoking in the street. Who is paying to clean the streets? They themselves with the tax they pay. Jackass. |

I read an article about Olympic games. It was a bit too long and difficult, and I didn't prepare well but I tried. And we had free talking, too. I enjoyed the conversation. Thanks again, see you soon! |

Alex spoke English as I had asked him to do to native speakers. Though I occasionally missed or lost during the conversation, it really trained me up to improve my listening skills, I believe. We started the class by self-introduction, and he told me his major, what got him in that line of study, and his future plans. He plays drums and seemed to be a music buff, so I recommended one of my favorite Japanese bands. And then, I asked him if he had some ideas of the sentence structures that seem difficult for Japanese people. He said he doesn't have specific avoidance in speaking English to Japanese but keeps in mind not to use possibly difficult idioms and proverbs. We spent the rest of the time talking about random topics such as the recent uproar by truck drivers in Canada who are opposed to vaccine mandates, the first thing we want to do in a post-pandemic world, etc. Alex is calm and stable, and I was really impressed by his ability to read Japanese mangas in original, which must contain lots of kanjis. His ability assumingly gained by hard work encouraged me to continue studying English. |

We talked about current news. He provided some articles about the topics. He always supports me in speaking a lot. He also writes down important words and expressions on the Skype chat for me to review. It was a great lesson. |
