2023.06.17 noboru様より会員No.22413 \| 男性	今日も小説を一緒に読み合わせて、自分が間違った解釈をしていた単語、表現を教えてもらいました。英語の単語が似ているけど意味が全く異なるもの、ジェスチャー表現で日本語でも同じようなものがあるけど英語では違うもの、など細かいニュアンスを教えてもらいました。とても勉強になりました。大学生のころにEIGOXがあったら、課題で出た小説をもっと深く理解できたのにな、と思ったりしました。30年前の過去は取り戻せませんので今を楽しく勉強したいと思います。 apprehend means arrest ; apprenhension, apprehensive, apprehensively, anxiety, worried, worriedly. unheard of means surprisingly becuase not previously experineced. enmity means dislike; expendible means unnecessary; asm much が文頭に来たときはalthoughで置き換える。look/ galnce over one's shoulderが look behind anxiously; apprend とapprehensiveや、expendible とexpandable　enermy と enmityとの違い。flog the dead horse, waste a time doing something. Spare me time は時間を頂戴だけどSpare me lectureだとレクチャーは不要です、って全然意味が違う。chew one's lip は日本人的には唇を噛む（disgrace, degrading）だけど英語的には、a sign of shoiwing anxiety以上のものではない。	評価 for Bill M. 先生
