We talked about the same sex marriage. The total of 29 countries and territories around the world recognize the same sex, but Japan doesn't. Japan is the only country in the G7 that doesn't offer any rights to same -sex couples. LGBTQ awareness in Japan has lagged behind other developed countries and many people identified as LGBTQ described themselves as reticent. However, some people say that things have been changing a lot in the past 20 years. In 2015, Shibuya Ward in Tokyo announced that it would offer "partnership certificates". All though that certificates are not legal, the certificates are used as de facto marriage certificates to help same sex couples with matters such as hospital visits and renting apartments. More and more people in Japan started to support gay rights. |

Today we talked about the name of each finger and toe. My tennis shoes hurt my toe nail and I have a pain still now. We call 'oyayubi' in japanese for both thumb and big toe. It's interesting, isn't it? There are many differences of expression depends on the countries or languages. I know I don't know so much. Thank you for sharing about the story of ring finger.
