Thank you very much for the first lesson with my daughter. Alternating the reading role of each paragraph was good because she learned accents, pauses and rhythm, etc. I know it was because I did not ask but it would have been nice if there were some small discussions about over what you read about Dahl's comment, such as "Do you understand what he means? or Do you agree or, That's a nice explanation, etc." to deepen her understanding of what was written, in addition to checking the difficult words. Overall my daughter enjoyed talking about her favorite books and it was really good. Thank you very much again. Excuse me for pointing out just one thing but the author's name is RoAld Dahl and not RoNald Dahl. It was our first lesson. Ellie looked calm and warm-hearted. Thanks to her composure and tone of voice, I didn't get nervous so much. When I made a grammartical mistake, she explained it writting down several example sentences in the chat box. I think she's an experienced teacher. It was a bit pitty that I sometimes couldn't see and hear her clearly which I think caused by our internet connection. But other than that it was great! |
