 Today, we used an article which is a report on the English level of adults in many countries. Unfortunately Japan is not included. But
we found the situation of Japan is similar to South Korea and China. Of course, Japanese or Asian languages are very different from English in their grammatical structure, But, as this article says, a major barrier for the students is the teaching methodology.
