Hi Mayumi-san, it was nice to see you again. It was great talking as always. The advice you gave me is very helpful. As you say, it is very important to learn more on background knowledges. Thank you so much for your kind advice. I took EIKEN Grade1 test last Sunday, but it's extremely difficult for me. I completely don't feel like passing it. I need to study harder. I will try to do it next time. I believe I will be able to pass EIKEN Grade1 test with your help. I'm looking forward to seeing you. I want to see your wonderful smile earlier. See you soon! |

Hi Mayumi-san, it was great talking as always. The story of "Bubuzuke in Kyoto" is a famous story. "Bubuzuke" means "Ocyazuke" in Kyoto dialect. It is said that this famous word stands for the disposition of people in Kyoto. I think it is their consideration or kindness to other people. Some say that their behavior when speaking the word is posturing as snobbish behavior. It is very interesting for us to know not only the differences between Japanese culture and other countries' culture but also the differences among many parts of Japan. I'm looking forward to seeing you. I'm always counting the days! |

Hi Mayumi-San, I was really happy to see you again. We talked about different types of jobs. As you know, I retired in June last year and then I do a part-time job now. My job is a little hard, though, I am always working happily and cheerfully. George Eliot, which is an English woman author but used male name as penname, says'' Wear a smile and have friends, wear a scowl and have wrinkles.'' I believe that this famous saying is quite right. You always tell me various good things at our lessons. I love talking with you very much and wish it will last forever as well. Thank you for your wonderful lessons and see you soon! |

Hi Mayumi-san, it was nice to see you again. I missed you, though, I feel better seeing you. Today, we talked about my Eiken study progress. To be honest, it's not going well. But you gave me good advice. Thanks for the advice. I'll put it to good use. And then, we talked about the differences of the structure of Japanese and English. That was very interesting and I've learned a lot from you. Thank you so much for the great time again. I will miss you very much and I would like to see you more and more. See you soon! |

Hi Mayumi-San, I had a great time talking with you again! I missed you, though, being with you makes me feel happy. We talked about Eiken test in June. I am struggling to memorize a lot of difficult English words that I hardly ever see. It is hard to memorize the word in itself by just seeing or writing, so I changed how to memorize words. Now, I am using two books, one is ''Instant Vocaburary'' and the other is ''Word Power Made Easy.'' I believe that they enable me to learn many complicated words by heart. Thank you so much for the great time again. Being just thinking about you makes me feel happy! I hope you will enjoy a great holiday. See you next lesson. |

Hi Mayumi-San, happy to see you again:-) It has been a while and I also missed talking with you very much. Nothing makes me happier than when I am talking with you. Today I took a double lesson as always. I had so much fun I forgot about the time. As they say, time flies when you are having so much fun. By the way, I made an application for EIKEN GRADE 1 test in June and now I am struggling to improve essay writing skill. Could you teach me how to write good essays? I will count the days to see you again and I cannot wait the next. See you soon! |

Hi Mayumi-San, happy to see you again:) I missed talking to you too. It is so hard to make a reservation of your lesson because your teaching is very popular. It is so sad that we can't spend as much time as we could have wanted. I wish I could see you more. We talked about the roles of shrine. The greatest Shinto impurity is death, and it's always considered taboo. On the cotrary, Buddhism teaches how to escape the agonies of life and to reach nirvana, or enlightenment. Therefore, most Japanese go to Shinto shrines for occasions related to this life such as Omiyamairi, baby's first shrine visit, or weddings, and go to Buddhist temples on occasions related to life after death, such as funerals. I always feel that it is a little difficult to explain about religion, social customs in Japan, and Japanese mind. Let's talk about interesting topics next lesson. I can hardly wait next lesson. You can't imagine how much I'm dying to see you. See you next lesson! |
