Today, we talked about random topics because I couldn't prepare a specific one in advance.
I asked about what exactly she does at work, and she told me she had difficulty getting used to a new machine that was supposed to make her tasks more manageable and could be some burden on her.
I can relate to her because that often happens to my work when I take on new software intending to simplify my tasks, but I have to study a lot about it to get used to it, and it takes some time.

It was the first lesson in almost two weeks since the last time I spoke English in person, and I was a bit nervous about whether I could speak English well or not, but your delightful vibe made me relaxed and encouraged me to continue our conversation.

Today we talked about my pronunciation and accent. I tried a couple of versions of them in reading some sentences, and Bailey rated them and clarify the difference between them from various viewpoints. It was a great lesson, thanks.

今日はハロウィンについて日本とアメリカを比較してみましたが、日本では若い人たちが中心で騒いでいる雰囲気であるのに対しアメリカは職場でも食べ物を持ちよってパーティーをしているとの事でした。やはり家庭的なところを感じました。

I had Tutor Bailey check my journal in this lesson.
She kindly went over it sentence by sentence and got my mistakes corrected into proper and natural expressions.
She suggested how to efficiently acquire a target accent and I'll give it a try.
She kept a cheerful and encouraging attitude throughout the lesson which really helped me relax and gain confidence in my English.
