Hi! Warm greetings! My name is Holly. I love God My Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, who have given me a love for teaching. I have a B.Sc. Honours degree in Speech-language Pathology through the University of Cape Town here in South Africa and a 120-hour ACTDEC accredited TEFL certificate. I have worked as a speech therapist for 20 years, mostly with adults who struggle to hear, see, understand others, speak, read and/or write. In 2023, I decided to change my career focus to teaching British English as a second language online. I have been doing this for three years now. I love creating an inspiring, motivating and encouraging lessons where students feel free to make mistakes and learn. I especially enjoy teaching pronunciation and helping students prepare presentations for their workplaces. My favourite part of teaching is when students tell me I have helped them to clearly express their thoughts in English by saying: “That is exactly what I wanted to say!” I look forward to meeting you and being your tutor! :) |
