We talked about the exam I took last weekend, talked about the piece I am going to perform at the piano recital I am participating this weekend. We watched the last performance of Mao Asada at Sochi Olympics. I am going to play the piece she used.

Double Lesson

We talked about the boy who was beat up at my junior high school, talked about problems schools were facing in Japan. Due to the stress and pressure students and teachers are getting from their work, they morelikely cause crimes such as sexual harassment and bullying.

Deborah's lessons are always fun, so I can't wait.

We mainly talked about what I did over last weekend.
I visited a few very famous museums in Hakone which is one of the most popular spots among foreigners.
Personally, I liked Lalique Museum most. Work made of glass was very fascinating and was very impressive.

We talked about the man who stabbed a Osaka police man, talked about traffic accidents caused by elderly people, whether elderly people should return drivers license or not and how their family should deal with that problem. I learned the phrase 'Purpose in life'. It is very important when we live.

We reviewed the essay I wrote on the Eiken exam, talked about how much Japan is dependent on other countries and how the relationship between and other countries should be. I would like to discuss about it more deeply next time. Also I would like to practice for the interview of the Eiken exam.

密教の歴史と修行の方法について学びました。英語の勉強に例えると、mudra(hand position)は身体を
英語の動きにすること、mandaraはイメージすること、そして、mantra(真言）は音読することという考えに至りました。
悟りの道は果てしなく遠い。ひたすら、音読修行を続けることが大切なのですね。がんばりましょう。

In this lessen I talked about the origin and the actual practices regarding Esoteric Buddhism known as Mikkyo in Japan. It's interesting to know that all these method derive from ancient India.

Double lesson

We talked about the game, Daifugo, my family played during vacation. Next time, I will attemp to explain the rule of it. Also, we talked about the tragedy happened to children inside the kindergarten bus. Some of them were stabbed by a maniac.

今回はキトラ古墳の壁画に描かれた四神について説明し、それに関連して古代中国において、四神が作られた
経緯を勉強しました。　　風水（Feng Shui)思想、五行説が一緒になり四神の神様が誕生したようです。
昔の人の想像力はすごいですね。

In this class, I introduced the Kitora burial mound and it's mural paintings, Shishin
or four divine beast. Blue dragon, red bird, white tiger, and turtle with snake would protect
four directions. These motifs were introduced into Japan during 7th century from China.

Thank you for your lesson. I enjoyed the lesson although it was hard to explain about TV dramas I was recently watching.

We really enjoyed talking about a documentary film I've seen that shows Tibetan storytellers. I also realized how important to keep the records about indigenous culture so that it will be able to preserve.
