 We discussed about the crime caused by the 88 years old woman, killing her daughter who needed nursing care. It reflected the issue of aging society. Also, we talked about tax revenue in Japan. The government's economic and tax revenue estimates are too optimistic.

 We discussed about the tragedy caused by the person who used to be Administrative Vice‐Minister for Foreign Affairs. He killed his son with the kitchen knife. It is brutal to kill the son. I think this reflects the issue the 30s and the 40s are facing. A lot of them don't succeed with their careers, are staying with their parents and are pampered by their parents.

 This time, we had a good discussion about aging society. The 30 percent of the population is 75 or older.
One company started a service to provide affordable residence to senior by taking over abandoned properties. If they detect any emergency, they will come and visit. More than 1 in 10 homes are empty so we need to think of taking a profitable usage of them. They should be put to better use.

 We had a fabulous talk about the origin of the United States. I didn't know the the United States was colonized by Britain and the daily life and culture of the place is a very important aspect of language. In face, some areas of Japan has dialect. We talked about the news the United States decided to leave the Paris Climate Agreement. It is very interesting to see how the United States is going to deal with the environmental issues.

 I learned a few words, acrophobia and agoraphobia. I have both of them. I used to be dare enough to try bunji jumping, but I have acrophobia since then.

We also talked about Typhoon-Hagibis hitting a number of places in Japan. It might take a while to recuperate from the damage of the typhoon. In the areas where they had the typhoon last time, they still had not fixed their roofs and tome people had to find another place to live and move to their new house.

People living in high rise building have special problems.
When electricity goes off, they have to go up flight stairs.
