Double lesson

Mainly, we talked about energy traders flocking to Japan.
Since there are four seasons in Japan and Japanese government is trying to increase the usage of renewable energy like hydro, nuclear and solar energy, energy traders are targeting Japan and trying to enter derivatives market in Japan. However, the progress of derivatives market in Japan is quit slow because a lot of Japanese companies are hesitating to enter such a risky market. Next we talked about the saury price. Since the amount of saury catches is decreasing, the price of saury tend to soar. One of the reasons is that Chinese and Taiwanese fishing boats get a head start before the saury start migrating to Japan.

We mainly talked about the fiscal rehab plan in Japan. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, it will be delayed to 2029, which is about 10 years from now. At a news conference, economic revitalization minister Yasutoshi Nishimura said the government will continue to aim for the goal of achieving the positive turnaround of the primary balance through fiscal reform in 2025. Budgets for the Corona Virus Pandemic will be partially financed by nearly \46 trillion in deficit-covering bonds.

We mainly discussed about redefining kimono.
The positive effect of wearing kimono is that can discriminate from others.
If I wear kimono when I go out, I can be remembered by many.
The negative effect is that there are many rules which should be followed such as different type of kimono should be worn at different occasion. Recently kimono made of polyester is getting popular since the price is affordable and is washable at home. The first thing is having young people interested in kimono made of polyester and moving them on to the kimono made of silk. As time goes by, the definition of kinomo is changing and people who sell kimono have to adopt to the change, depending on the target selling the kimono.

In this class I introduced the Nara period and the Buddhism. It's hard to learn all events which occurred from 710-794 within 50 minutes. But we shared the main topics. 昔の人は偉いですね。奈良の大仏も　東大寺も人力で作ったのですね。

In this class, I talked about the Buddhism transmission in the Ancient Asia. Kumarajiva was a excellent translator, who translated several hundreds of Sutras from Sanskrit to Chinese. In china movie 'Kumarajiva' was
produced recently. 日本では鳩摩羅什として知られていますが、素敵なかたですね。

Double lesson

We discussed about the Tokyo' plan to expand strategic PCR testing. The expansion of PCR testiing was adopted at the meeting to prevent the spread of the virus at bars, clubs and other nightlife establishments. At the same time the government is trying to bolster the function of public health centers by increasing the number of nurses and other staff and setting up supplementary facilities. At the same time, we have another issue that turnover rate of the staff at hospitals is increasing.

Double lesson

We mainly discussed about turnover of the staff at hospitals. Since revenues of hospitals are being reduced, income of the staff at hospitals is being lowered respectively. That's the reason why turnover of staff at hospitals is increasing and is being an issue in Japan.

We mainly talked about the difference between blatant and blunt. Blunt tend to be used for forthright behaviors. Blatant is used for the bad behavior openly and ashamedly done. Also we mainly talked about the difference between curtly and succinct. Curtly refers to rude behavior while succinct refers to simple and clear sentences and words.

We talked about the same sex marriage. The total of 29 countries and territories around the world recognize the same sex, but Japan doesn't. Japan is the only country in the G7 that doesn't offer any rights to same -sex couples. LGBTQ awareness in Japan has lagged behind other developed countries and many people identified as LGBTQ described themselves as reticent. However, some people say that things have been changing a lot in the past 20 years. In 2015, Shibuya Ward in Tokyo announced that it would offer "partnership certificates". All though that certificates are not legal, the certificates are used as de facto marriage certificates to help same sex couples with matters such as hospital visits and renting apartments. More and more people in Japan started to support gay rights.

Under the chaos of current society I decided to rethink about Buddhism. In this class I picked up Saicho
and the Tendai-sect of Buddhism.
