We went over my websites on the first half. After that we talked about my nephew who is junior at his college. He looks for his jobs. We talked about the difference between Japan and the United States. We have more strict entrance exams to junior high schools. Since students graduate at the same time, they start to find jobs by themselves at the same time to be fair.

First, we went over the service page of my website.
Also, we talked about a meeting with my husband's relatives on line.
Talked about the situation of coronavirus.
Japan is going to decided whether Tokyo Olympics will be held this July or not by the 25t of March.
If most nations are vaccinated by the end of this year, the situation will get much better and economy will be revitalized.

First, we went over the top page of my website again.
We discussed about entrance examination in Japan.
My niece failed the exam of the university of her first choice but hasn't decided what she is going to do next.
Students in Asia tends to go to cramming school.
Also, we talked about the disaster of Tsunami in 2011.
It's been ten years since North East Japan Earthquake occurred.
There are recently a lot of TV programs for the memorial day of the earthquake in Japan.

At the first half, we went over the first page of my website. Then, we talked about lifting the state of emergency. At some prefectures, the state of emergency will be lifted on the seventh of March, but the state of emergency will be extended one more month at Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba prefecture. There are various opinions about this. Some are worrying about lifting the state of emergency too soon, but some are glad to have the relaxed restrictions and have the state of emergency being lifted at the end of February because one hour will make big plus for restaurants.

天正遣欧使節団に続き長崎世界遺産信徒発見についてお話ししました。とりわけ、隠れキリシタンの人々が伝えてこられた
お祈りのオラショがグレゴリオ聖歌に由来するというエピソードに感動しました。ルネッサンス音楽を研究してこられた皆川達夫先生のご紹介もしました。使節団の4人が帰国後、秀吉に謁見し、演奏したのが当時ヨーロッパで流行っていたジョスカンデプレの曲ということも分かり驚きました。Toeic testの対策だけでなく歴史の勉強も続けていきたいと思います。

このクラスでは天正遣欧使節団についてお話ししました。13歳位の4人の少年たちが命がけでヨーロッパに行き、ローマ法王に
謁見し各地で熱烈な歓迎を受けたというお話に感動しました。伊東マンショの肖像画が2014年に発見され、千々石ミゲルのお墓が現在も調査中であることなど、単に英語の学習の枠を超えて多くの収穫がありました。デボラ先生が熱心に聞いて下さるのでこちらも熱が入ります。

このクラスでは日本へのキリスト教伝来についてお話ししました。信長公がキリスト教を認めたとき、ヨーロッパは
大航海時代（The Age of Discovery)に入り、ルネッサンスに突入していたことを学びました。

このクラスでは織田信長公についてお話ししました。比叡山を焼き討ちしたり、石山本願寺を襲ったりと
攻撃的なイメージのある信長公ですが楽市楽座を作り、自由経済の基礎を造った点で学ぶべき点があると思いました。

We mainly talked about the Ikebana online lesson. Due to the coronavirus, my teacher started online lesson and I created an English manual so we reviewed it during the lesson. Also we talked about the level6 earthquake we had in Fukushima Prefecture. At the end, we little talked about the resignation of Mori.

I enjoyed her lesson.
We talked about Dale Carnegie's books. She inroduced his classes that I didn't know and these are in Japan.

今回は茶道の祖、千利休についてお話ししました。「和、敬、清、寂」すなわち、harmony,respect,purity,and tranquilityが大切な要素だそうです。いつ、お客さんが来られても迎えられるように部屋は綺麗にしておくべしとのことです。それで、今頑張って掃除をしています。

We mainly talked about Setubun.
Setubun is a festival to welcome the beginning of Spring to ward off the illness and unfortune. We usually have a ceremony called 'Mamemaki' on that day, we throws roasted beans away against the evil, believe beans drive the evil away and bring us the fortune. On that day we have a custom to have the same number of beans as my age to have the good health and have the special rolled sushi. That special rolled sushi has seven ingredients, representing seven deities of good fortune. While having it, we should look at a certain direction, a lucky direction of that year and have it without talking to keep guud luck from slipping away. We have an application to tell us where the lucky direction is. Setubun is usually on the third of February, but is on the second of February, happening the first in 124 years. The day of Setubun is decided, depending on the speed of the earth to rotate around the sun. It usually takes 365 days for the earth to rotate around the sun, but that's not exact. We need adjustments to the calendar. That's the reason Setubun is either on the 2nd of Feburary or on the 3rd of Feburary.

今回は室町時代の文化についてお話ししました。茶の湯、生け花、能、狂言、書院造り建築など、多くの日本の文化が
この時代に作られたことを話すととても、驚いておられました。雪の金閣寺は綺麗ですね。
