Hello! My name is Gillian, but you can call me Gill. 

I am 49 years old and I was born and raised in Scotland.

My home town is a small city called Dundee. It is located 60 miles north east from Edinburgh.

My working life began when I was 17 years old. I left school and trained as a care worker for adults with learning difficulties. I continued to work in the health and social care sector for 23 years, then a series of events led me to reconsider my career.

So at 40 years old I returned to study fulltime. I completed a national certificate in child care and early education and then I completed a four year MA in English and Medieval History at the University of St Andrews.

I also completed a TEFL and CELTA certificates to improve my teaching skills. I love teaching English at all levels and I am here to help you improve your English skills; reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar. 

I can help students begin learning English and improve their English skills for conversation, business, education, and travel.

My hobbies include hiking, swimming and sailing, reading and watching drama and documentaries. I also enjoy listening to audio books, wachting movies and sociallizing with my friends and family. 

I am currently working full time in an English Academy in the city of Kupang on the western side of the island Timor. Here I teach children mostly from age 3 to 18, as well as some young adults. I teach from beginner level to advanced / CERF A0 - C2.

I will be available here on Eigox for 10 to 12 hours a week, mostly at weekends. I would love to assist you with improvng your English skills or English conversation and I look forward to meeting new students in 2022!
