 Thanks a lot for your obliging tutoring. We shared an article on the Taiwan Strait—the author believes that Taiwan and Japan's security are indivisible. Then we chatted about the 1958 documents recently revealed by the New York Times; the U.S. military's operational headquarters recommended that the White House prepare a plan to use nuclear weapons against mainland China. In the end, President Eisenhower discouraged the use of nuclear weapons and allowed the U.S. Military to use only conventional weapons, though.

 Pleasure talking to you. We perused an article on the summit meeting between the U.S. and South Korea; Biden expressed support for inter-Korean cooperation. While avoiding naming China, the joint statement clearly stated that "the two leaders stress the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait," which was obviously requested by Biden—Moon Jae-in did not want to provoke China.
