In this lesson, I explained how to cook white and green bitter melon (Goya). Recently, I've heard of Goya-Chanpuru being served for school lunch. In my opinion, many kids don't like such a bitter tasting food. I can’t imagine that when I was in elementary school, I couldn't eat green peppers because the taste was too bitter for me. And, the bitter melon tastes more bitter! I really enjoy talking with you, Nik! Since the corona virus sprang up, the world , the countries are scrambling to stifle, to smother the plague, which is devastating the world economy, killing a slew of people. Now vaccine is the only tool to protect ourselves but some part of people are against the inoculation, whereas many countries even can`t get the jabs because the vaccine are not allocated fairly, equally. It is a controversial, contentious issue. It behooves us to reflect on this matter seriously. This unexpected happening is just one of many issues that the world is handling. Global warming, nuclear weapons and many others. Given that these issues that were never solved, COVID-19 will not be vanished so easily. Will be the world more united, peaceful, people will be less selfish, egoist, or nothing will change or even worsen after the virus perishes? |
