Although he is such a shy boy and hardly reply to what people say, I appreciate that you tried to break the silence and make him smile by doing funny tricks with your fingers. Today, we talked about the article that Japanese biggest delivery company, Yamato's new initiative to improve their decreasing profits because of labor shortage. As usual, Gabriel explaind my unfamiliar words and meanings of some sentences easily to understand. It was interesting that business tactics for managing workers are different between Yamato and Amazon. It seems that the wages of Amazon delivery workers are higher that Yamato's. That might be the reason that Yamato has to raise their empolyees's wages. Raising wages is relly good for workers. However, why can Amazon keep thier good business profits and why can't Yamato keep their profit? Are there any difference of corporate culture? Anyway, we enjoyed disucussion and he always inspires me to think about many social things from different viewpoints. Thank you Gabriel. See you next time. |
