Thanks for the great lesson, as usual, Sadie. We went over my journal entry about the importance of acquiring proper pronunciation. I read it out loud and had her check my pronunciation. She taught me some intonation rules and the tendency of the American accent: Americans tend to drop T sounds at the end of words. She then corrected some grammar mistakes in the journal and pointed the part I should have elaborated more on. I'm going to rewrite the journal based on her advice. |

It was my first time to take her lesson. We used the power topic textbook and I learned how to describe what I am good/not good at. I asked a question about when/where to use 'at' or 'in' then she taught me the differences between two so patiently. After the power topic lesson, we talked about make-ups on free talk!! I didn't know much about make-up/skincare terms in English so She taught me how I say them in English so patiently. I notice that I really need to study hard on expanding my vocab related to make-ups, skincare and fashion. She spoke English very clearly for me so it was not hard for me to get what she said. But unfortunately the internet connection got bad in the middle of the lesson so I couldn't hear her clearly while having our free-talk. Overall her lesson was great, especially for the low intermediate to intermediate learners. |
