I am an enthusiastic and pationate English tutor from South Africa. I have experience teaching both children and adults. My teaching experience has allowed me to develop the ability to adapt my teaching styles to different learners and levels. I mainly focus on everyday converstional English, my favourite thing about being a tutor is helping students gain confidence. seeing a student go from hesistant to confident when speaking English is truely rewarding. I believe learning a new language can be challenging because it requires consistancy, patience and stepping out of your comfort zone, but it should also feel comfortable, engaging and practical. My prespective on error correction is that it should be positive and encouraging. I focus on gentle correction, allowing my students to express themselves first, then guiding them in a supportive way. The values i resonate the most are support, kindness and patience. |
